In March 2021, one of the reasons the DOT declined the neighborhood’s preference for Greenwich Street & Duane (in front of the former Best Market) as a potential location for more Citibike docks was the prevalence of manhole covers. Though this clever workaround on St. Marks Place gives us hope!
