2 ways you can be heard by the DOT
Email Manhattan Borough Commissioner Edward Pincar
If you are shocked to learn the DOT is actively adding hundreds of bike docks to Tribeca, in locations that seem contrary to years of ridership data, and without regard for current community preferences:
Send an email* to your Council Member, Margaret Chin, at Chin@council.nyc.gov and cc: Cora Fung at cfung@council.nyc.gov and also to:
Manhattan Borough Commissioner Edward Pincar at EPincar@dot.nyc.gov and cc: Jennifer Ines jstaines@dot.nyc.gov and cc: Jennifer Leung jleung@dot.nyc.gov and to:
Ask them for their help compelling the DOT to involve the public in meaningful discussion prior to its implementation of changes or expansions in CitiBike dock locations. The burden for change should fall on the agency to justify it, not the small businesses and residents to oppose it. Because what's needed now is a renewed collaboration between the DOT and stakeholders to reimagine the bike share infrastructure in our neighborhood.

2. Comment on the DOT’s own site for alternative locations
The DOT now has an online form for you to request that a bike dock at a certain location be moved to an alternative location. Read more about that here, and complete the form!
Check MN CB1 and scroll down (2 of 3)
Complete as you like, or cut & paste into form (3 of 3):
2. What Station?Street 1: Duane Street
Street 2: Greenwich St
3. Suggested alternative locationStreet 1: Please move this dock around the corner to 316 Greenwich St.
Street 2: Or to Greenwich St and Jay St.
4. Comments: A much better location for the dock currently on Duane Street is around the corner and across the street, at 316 Greenwich St. The curb cut-out there is tailor-made for the dock, it blocks no businesses, parks or residences, and the double-wide sidewalks can accommodate the innovative hardware to increase CitiBike capacity.
